Alletta's Soup Kitchen



Alletta's Soup Kitchen is a beautiful community initiative started by Alletta. She saw a growing need for food support among her neighbours and took immediate action. Today, she is the heart feeding her community.

The soup kitchen provides hot, nourishing meals twice a week to unemployed and vulnerable residents. It relies entirely on donations from the public and local supporters to keep going.

The Growing Need:

Alletta currently feeds more than 150 people on serving days, and that number increases every single week. More and more elderly residents are seeking assistance, highlighting the rising levels of food insecurity and economic hardship facing older folks in the area.




Alletta's Monthly Wishlist

  • Monthly Gas: One 14kg gas bottle every month.
  • Non-Perishable Ingredients: Soup mix, pasta, and black pepper.
  • Mince: Alletta loves to spoil the pensioners once a month with a special meal.
  • Shoprite Vouchers: Because she has very limited fridge and freezer storage, grocery vouchers are the absolute best way to support her!

Her Long-Term Vision

Right now, Alletta prepares all 150+ meals inside her own small home kitchen. As the need grows, her dream is to expand. She wants to enclose her open backyard to turn it into a safe, secure, and large dedicated cooking and storage space.
