Alletta’s Soup Kitchen

Alletta opens her heart and her tiny kitchen every week to feed over 150 vulnerable community members. She provides hot, nutritious meals, a safe place to gather, and vital hope to her neighbours.

Aquila High School

Opened in 2022, Aquila High School stands as a powerful beacon of hope and safety for local youth. Operating entirely out of temporary buildings, this school gives resilient teenagers the tools to dream big.

Mandela Day 2026: Jar of Hope Initiative

For Mandela Day, The Shared Table took action to combat food insecurity by packing Jars of Hope for the Phesantekraal community. Each individual jar contains a mix of hearty ingredients capable of feeding a family, resulting in a total of 200 meals delivered to those who need them most.
This impactful initiative was made possible through collective community action and the generous corporate sponsorship of Carl Greaves Brokers, who fully funded 20 of the packed jars.
Women's Month 2026: Honouring Our Community Heroes

The women running the feeding schemes in Phesantekraal and Uitsig spend so much of their lives serving others. This Women's Month, The Shared Table turned the tables to make sure they were the ones being served, pampered, and celebrated with a special breakfast and brand spoils.
